[Opinions] Re: Tempest
In the book Freakonomics, there is a case where a girl was brought to court for, among other things, having men into the apartment while her mother was at work. I don't remember how old she was, but I think she was just a teenager, maybe 15 or so. Anyway, her name was Temptress, and someone at the court asked her mother why on earth she had named her daughter that. The woman replied that she'd seen the name of the woman on the Cosby Show (Tempestt Bledsoe, I believe) and liked it. She didn't find out until later that she had misspelled it, and even later than that did she find out what "temptress" means.Just something I thought I'd point out. I think the name Tempest itself is way too impersonal and wouldn't make me like the person very much.
