[Opinions] Acantha
What do you think of it, and would it work on a modern child? Any sibling names that would go with it?

I like it, but the "thorn" meaning is a little offputting. I think it's pretty sounding and looking, and I'd ignore the meaning, but wouldn't want little Annie checking the meaning later and thinking she was unloved or something.

With all the crazy names used today? Yes, I think it would work just fine. I find it way preferable to Destiny or Madison, as a matter of fact.Plus, you could always used the nn Annie if you eventually found it was too strange (which I doubt would happen).

I bought a new name book the other day, and was looking through the A names and saw it. I just jumped out at me.Too bad it's not in Baby Name Wizard, though. I'm loving it enough to find siblings for it.

I don't have Baby Name Wizard, so I don't know what it's range of names is like, but you could look for similar names that might be in there - try Acacia, Althea, Anthea and Alethea, for example.I don't mind Acantha but it sounds a little thorny to me.
