If you like Penny then it can stand on it's own, after all you'd be calling her Penny anyway so its not like it matters that much! Personaly I'd keep it for the dog, I plan on naming a cat Penny, but there are a lot worse names out there. Don't like Rupinder. If you want to call her Penny, call her Penny, theres not need to find a name for it to come from.
