I would say vuh-LAA-nuh (AA as in attic) at first glance. I like it.
vuh-LAY-nuh would be another option of pronunciation, but I think I'd spell it Valaina in that case. That looks really nice and balanced to me (but I might be biased from my love of Valaida, lol).
