[Opinions] Della?
WDYTO Della? I think it's okpretty good, but I wouldn't use it on a person though. "By creating a legacy, by living a life worth remembering, you become immortal." -Amanda, Saw II

I lived near Delafield, Wisconsin, so every time I heard Della I would automatically think"field". Doesn't sound like a name to me.

I know a little girl with this name, but I much prefer Adela.

I knew a woman named Della, Canadian... my friend's mom. She was sweet and gorgeous... she was once a model.

At first it sounds like Deli, sort of like a food market. At first, I thought it reminded me of Ella, then I thought of food and cheese.

Like Array said, I like it as a nickname for Adele, Adella, etc. I don't think it stands well on its own.

I don't mind it but it is a character in the soap opera Days of Our Lives... I know I am fifteen and I watch soap operas... I have for years... lol

I'd only use it as a nn if I used it at all. Della makes me think of cows for some reason.

now that you say that...I think of a cow too. There's a reason, I just can't think of it. Kristen~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Me too!The only thing I can think of is that the computer brand Dell advertises their dairy cow-spotted boxes in their commercials, but I doubt that's it.

Yeah, it's bothering me now. I want to know where I've heard of a cow named Della, haha.

Is it because of "The Farmer in the Dell" (the kids' song)?

Della ReeseBecause of her, I think it could work on a person and as a full name. As for the name itself it's okay, I kind of like it, I don't dislike it.Kristen~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I think it's sweet, and it reminds me of a name that would be called "Southern". I'm not sure yet whether I like it as a nn, or if I'm okay with it as a full fn. It's a nice choice, however, and I can see it used on a person.
