The spelling isn't too bad, but chances are, she'd have to be correcting people her entire life.I love the name Carrie, which is a personal fave of mine :) Caroline is nice as well, although it isn't a fave.

I prefer Carolyn but if you're looking for something different, what about Caralyn or Karalyn?

The extra -ne just seems very unnecessary to me, so unless you're naming a child after someone who spells it that way, why put her through a lifetime of hassle? 'No, it's C-A-R-O-L-Y-N-N-E.' :-/

Carolynne seems a bit long. I don't care for the "e" attached to the end of Lynn. If you must use a variant spelling of Carolyn, how about Carolynn instead? I prefer Caroline over Carolyn and Carolynn in general though.

You're right, I do see it as a trendy spelling, though I have seen worse. If you're honouring someone named Lynne than I find nothing wrong with it at all. It could even be considered a combination of Carol and Lynne. I much prefer Caroline, however.
