[Opinions] Laurissa
WDYT of Laurissa? My sister's name is Laura, and I thought I could use Laurissa to honor her. Do you think it would be better to use it as a fn or a mn? Also, if I did use it as a fn, what nickname would you use? Lori or Laurie, or maybe Rissa? Thanks :)-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I prefer Larissa, of course, but if Laurissa honors someone that's cool. I call my DD Rissa for a NN.Leslie, lucky mommy to Scott (2000), Delaney (2002), and Larissa (2005)

I prefer Larissa, but Laurissa is fine. Rissa and Laurie are both nice nicknames.

I love it. Ususally I see it spelt Larissa, or Larisa. I personally don't like the way Laurissa looks as much as Larissa, but it would be alittle more of a noticeable connection to spell is Laurissa or Laurisa. This is really funny too because my name is Marisa and friend/sister is named Laura. So combined we would be Laurisa. ^_^ Also it can be pronounced two ways (lah - REE -sa) or (lah - RIS -ah). Also looking up the spelling Laurisa - which isn't in this database - I also found Lauressa. Personally I like the way Laurisa looks more than Laurissa.---------------------------------------------------------------------My Favorite Names:Girls: Sabriel, Serafina, Augustine, Katriana, Arianna, Adelina, Audriana, Catriona, Josceline, Avianna, Mariana, Artemis, Taianna, Genevieve, and Keira.Boys: Keiran, Quinn, Silas, Gavin, Aidan, Vincent, Cedric, Rowan, Mica, Xavier, Ian, Finley, Damian, Laika, and Kaidan.

I don't really like Laurissa, but I really like some other forms of Laura, namely, Laure and Laurel.-- Sarah
