[Opinions] Tyson?
Say, the name Tyson has been growing on me lately. I like the NN Ty but dislike Tyler. I'm only wondering if people would associate him with Mike Tyson or Tyson chicken? Let me just tell you-if it's a boy my Dh wanted to name him Guy (UGHH). I talked him out of it last night so I think anything is a step up.

I immediately think of Mike Tyson and for that reason, I don't like it. I prefer Ty on its own as a full first name.

My cousin named his son Tyson. I hate to say it but the first thing everyone said when they heard the name was either, "Like the frozen chicken?" or, "As in Mike Tyson?" I know a couple who named their son Ty, just Ty. Perhaps that's a possibility?

I love the name Tyson! It was my great-grandmother's maiden name and it was given to both my grandfather and father as middle names, so I don't associate it with Mike Tyson or Tyson chicken. I also like the nn Ty but I really strongly dislike the name Guy.

Tyson is too trendy imo. I don't mind Guy, probably only as a middle name though, as it's not a favourite.

I love the name Tyson. My very first boyfriend was named Tyson, and he was one of my very best friends even after we broke up. I have great associations w/the name b/c of him. I never think of Mike Tyson or Tyson chicken. It's a great name, in my opinion! =)

I very much dislike Tyson, i hate Ty names, but the name Guy is so handsome!! My uncles name is Guy Edward which is very handsome, and if one of the quads is a boy (most likely) then one of them will have Guy as a middle name

I know the cutest little boy named Tyson! I will admit when I fist heard his name, Mike Tyson came to mind... but not so much anymore.

I really like the name Tyson!! I had that name picked out along with Chad for my 1st and 2nd babies before I found out they were girls. When I finally had my son my husband wanted Eric Joseph which I also like!! I wouldn't worry about any associations because all names can be associated with someone!!

Sorry, but I really hate it - it's such a bully-boy name, and not just because of the boxer.

Thanks-I certainly wouldn't want him to be associated with Mike Tyson.
