[Opinions] Evariste
I came across the name Evariste today while I was looking through birth announcements. It's the French form of Evaristus. I personally think that Evariste and Evaristus are interesting names. I hadn't heard of either of them until today. WDYT of Evariste and Evaristus?

Oddly enough, I have never heard of either. But Evariste sounds too much like a French person saying (Mt.) Everest and that definitely has a lot of teasing potential, imo. :(

I like Evariste and Evaristus, but I prefer the Greek form of Evaristos and the Spanish/Italian/Portuguese form of Evaristo. ¡VIVA ESPAÑA!

I love them both, in fact I'm using Evaristus in a piece of writing. I rememeber looking for names through the encyclodpedia and thinking hey those popes have had some unusual names so I went and looked. Sure enough I found a lot of names I liked and ended up using a lot as well, and Evaristus was one of them. His name is Evaristus Fai Vasco Pardill

Sorry I misplaced my post. :)It's nice, as a mn. Also, the confusion over the mountain made me think Everest is actually a great name!Britney Tamber

Um, no . . . o.OThe mountain is Everest, not Evariste, and Evariste is pronounced ay-var-EEST, not EV-er-est.
