I recently saw the name Shirah in a book and thought it was kind of pretty.The bearer of this name was a Jewish woman. I was just wondering what all your opinons are on it?

It does have a pretty sound. I associate it with She-Ra, the Princess of Power, the 80-s cartoon character though. Had a Princess of Power lunchbox in third grade.

I had a friend named Shira! She was extremly uh....unclean, and her house was not very sanitary that's all I think of. She was very odd. Her name is pretty, and i adore the meaning but I just can't get behind that though.

ETA: she pronounced it SHY-RAH
