[Opinions] Kiraly
While at the doctors today I heard a mother call her daughter Kiraly(keer-a-lee) and I said "that is a pretty name, how do you spell it?" because I haven't heard it before. What do you all think of it?

I've heard of it before, I've always thought it was an Australian-made name :). A girl at my school is named Kiri-Lee. However, I'm not a huge fan of the sound of the name.

It's nmsaa, but I know a very sweet girl with the name which redeems it for me. I don't like the spelling you've got, but here are some others:Kirilee - I like this spelling best
Kiralee (the spelling of the one I know)
Kirily
Kirrily
Kirilly
Kirrilee
and of course Kiri-Lee or Kira-Lee.It's a composite of Kiri and Lee or Kira and Lee depending on how you spell it.:-)

Not in English-speaking countries . . .Here in Australia and in the other English-speaking countries it's a girls' name, a composite of Kira and Lee or Kiri and Lee :-)

Cute, I like it alright. The Kir- part is sort of trendy, and the whole thing verges on preciousness, but it's kinda my style in a weird way. Not that my style is great or anything. .. I just like it. The shortness of the ending despite it being three syllables. And maybe because it reminds me of my sister's name, Carolee. It reminds me also a tiny bit of the word "chiral" (KYE-ral), or chirally, but I guess that's jargon so no one else will probably think of it. - chazda
