[Opinions] Seane
WDYT? I read it in a magazine. I would think it's pronounce like SeaANNE. I kind of like it. I'm not a fan of Seanna, Ceanna, Sierra, Sienna. But I do like Seane or Seanne. What are your opinions?~Lisa~

I would think the "sea" was pronounced like Seamus (Shame-us). So... Seane= Shane. I think it's cool pronounced that way.Britney Tamber

I think it is pronounced like Sean or Shawn, but it is just a female version like Shawna. It is nms.

It'd never be prounonced that way. Most people would assume that's a variation on Sean.

I like the name once you pronounce it out, but I think if people just read the name they would think it was Sean, a popular boys name. i do like the name though.

Post under ONE name ONLY please, :-) / Virginia W. / VWD / Kaytee / vvv / Lea N. / HelenThis is the THIRD time I have asked you to stick to one username. The previous occasions:

http://www.behindthename.com/bb/arcview.php?id=592834&board=babyYou must choose a single username and stick to it. A smiley is not a good username as it can be confused with a subject that has been put in the wrong place. Please choose a username, and as I have asked you before, please reply to this message and let me know which name you will be using from now on.

I'd pronounce it like I think it'd be pronounced in an Irish way, like Shah-na. I mean, English speakers pronounce the Se- as She- because it's Irish; it'd be lame IMO not to pronounce the E at the end too.I like it. I even like Sean for a woman sometimes (because of actress Sean Young).

I would pronounce it the same as Sean - ie Shawn. I don't like it.

I was a bit confused on pronounciation; it looks like 'seen' to me. I'd spell it Sianne. It's very pretty.
