I worked with "high-risk" children for a year, and one of the 13 year olds (so now around 16) had this name, and she is who I think of. I didnt even think of Mariah Carey until you mentioned her...but I do not listen to her music or know of anyone that does. Is she still major in the music scene? If not, I wouldnt worry about it. If she is falling out, when a daughter is born (if you arent pregnant), no one but older adults will really remember the singer.
