I like it, better than most names.

For some reason, I *love* this name (on a girl)!

Hate it for both. My dad always used to say the word "harping" instead of "nagging" like, "quit harping on me." It also makes me think of a harpie which is like a bad creature in mythology-so I think it's an icky name and not pretty at all.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Harper! I love it on a girl and it's ok on a boy. Too bad my fiance isn't very fond of it... there is still time to convince though :)

All I hear is harp--harp as in bug, harrass, or annoy. Of course from there it goes to harping and harpies, which is an entirely unflattering connection.

I personally don't care for it, but I can live with it as a name. I think I prefer it on a girl because I associate Harper with Harper Lee, who was a woman.

Its a last name, and despite liking some surnames, I do not like Harper. I think mainly because my first love was James Harper, who went by Harper, and there will never be another.

I'm not always a fan of the unisex-word-names that seem to be pretty popular now. The exceptions are Harper and Piper. I like both for a girl best.
