What do you think of the name Nicola with the nn Cola? Do you think people could look beyond the Cola/Soda/Soft drink thing and view it as a feminine version of Cole?

I like Nicola much better than Nicole, but I don't necessarily like Cola for a nn, i like Nica!

I see Nicola as a male name.

Cola as a NN will just not fly in North America. She'll likely end up being called Coke and various other things.

Well in Australia, we don't say "cola" for the drink, so ti wouldn't be a problem. How about Nicky? as a nn?

I think some people could see it as a version of Cole - but most, I'd say, would probably call her by their favorite soft drink name as a pun.

And I don't like the name Nicola itself. . . . Makes me think of that cough drop thing - Riiicolaaaaa.

I also think of Ricola and the commercial with large horn. I also think of Nicorette.

however, past that, it is a nice name.

and I think Cola is a very cute nn. Coco is one of my favorites, but I love Cola for Nicola.

I think the whole soda issue would be to prominent. However, Nicola is a lovely name. I prefer the nn Cocco.
