[Opinions] WDYTO Galileo?
Galileo Galilei is one of my favorite names.
Personally I think Galileo is a great name. However,I wonder why people no longer use this name? Is it still popular in Italy?

I really like it, but it wouldn't be something I'd use. ¡VIVA ESPAÑA!

I think it would be too much for a child today.

I like it! I do consider some names of famous scientists, authors, inventors, and similar too pompous or heavy for a real child, but I think Galileo could work. It's eccentric and interesting, yet elegant, strong, and handsome, and with a famous yet not too iconic namesake. Love it. I'd go for it.

I don't know about Italy, but I do know that Signor Galilei had some HUGE shoes to fill, maybe nobody wants to put that kind of pressure on their kid. Also, there is the space probe Galileo, maybe people equate it with naming a kid Columbia or Discovery.
