[Opinions] Loretta
Just curious what you guys think. I have a self imposed restriction to using Irish names for any more kids that I have, but for some reason Loretta, strikes me as a cool name.

All I can think of is Loretta Lynn's song 'Hey Loretta'
Hey Loretta
I love you better than my irish setter
Hey Loretta
Don't leave me alone
Hey Loretta
I swear I'm gonna treat ya better
I'll buy you brand new overalls if you'll only come back home.

Reminds me too much of Loretta Lynn, a country music singer I cringe at when hearing.

I'm not necessarily a fan. It's one of those names that's turned into an irreversible joke for me. It has too many unserious connotations for me to really measure its quality as a real person's name. For one it kind of strikes me as a "generic country singer" kind of thing. And I used to have a hamster named Loretta, and after that it brings to mind Monty Python's Life of Brian and Eric Idle's line "I want to be a woman. I want to be called Loretta."

Sorry, I really don't care for it. All I think of is Loretta Lyn.
Way too old-fashioned for me. Sorry.
