[Opinions] Argus
OK I have a thing for A names, I have like 100 of them.
I really love the name Angus but its so darn popular in Australia so I was thinking that Argus is a nice alternative. Probably with either the nn's Ari, Argie or Gus.
Siblings:
Caspian, Rowena, Ambrose, Arabella & Ignatius
MN suggestions?
Argus Jupiter
Argus Malachy
Argus Orion
Argus Harper
Argus Firenze
?

I think it's kind of cool, and would be tickled to see it on someone else's kid. Angus isn't at all popular here so there wouldn't be a need for me to find a likeable alternative to it, but Argus has appeal in its own right.
I like Argyle a whole lot, probably more than Argus, despite the first image it brings up for me being the sock pattern.

I like it. It makes me think of Argus from Greek Mythology (the guy who built the ship for the Argonauts). It's unusual, yet not too weird, and I think it's nicely spunky and cool. It's definitely fits in perfectly with the rest of your names (which are, BTW, absolutely wonderful. Love them all to bits). I really like the NNs Ari and Gus, too.
Do you know of Argos, the shop? Or is that just a British thing? Seriously, it's ALL I hear when I hear it.
