I just came upon this medieval female name. Driella of Wessex, born in 1019, was the sister of Harold II of England.
I thought the name Driella was very pretty and feminine. And it's quite similar to the trendy Briella, only much more solid imo because of its history. Wdyt?

I think it is pretty, and there is something nicely melancholy and poetic sounding about it, to me. Briella is much more 'upbeat,' although I like it less. I'm not sure why - it might be because of words that sound vaguely similar, like drizzle, dreary, ordeal, dreamy, laundry (versus brim, bristle, bright, breathe, brilliant, brew)?.. not that it actually does remind me of those words; just that it has a sort of 'gentle falling' sound to it -- sort of romantically melancholy.
Does that make any sense? Oh well, nevermind.

Hmmm, I like the history, but I dislike the name. Reminds me of a Wicked step-sister in Cinderella.
However, the History is a HUGE plus :D
