Can it work - or do you just think of lepers?
We love it, it sounds so lovely to our ears - it is definately underused adn i think it sounds nice with my other kids (Iris, Eli adn Pearl).
BUT does it just make you think of lepers?
Surely it would be sweet once you met a lttle boy with this name?
Am i going mad?Love Clara

Lazarus does not make me think of lepers. I does, however, make me think of a department store.

No, you're not going mad! I love Lazarus! It would make me happy to meet a little Lazarus. I like the nn Laz for a little Lazarus. =)

Lazarus just makes me think of the man in the Bible. I couldn't picture it on a little boy, but I think it would be fine.

I absolutely adore Lazarus--it's up there with Horatio and Morpheus as far as my favourite names go. :) I love the nn Laz.I think it works with Iris, Eli, and Pearl. They all have a great, old-fashioned vibe, with a slightly countrified feeling. Array

I like the sound of Lazarus and my name nerd side wants to meet a little Lazarus, but I do think of lepers :(
I agree with Bex that Leo sounds fabulous with your other kids names. I also like Josiah with them.

No, you are not mad. I think the name sounds nice as well, but have also been afraid that people would think of leprousy or something else related to the name that is not perhaps pleasant.
