Message: "Deslie?" - Behind the Name

I was flipping through a magazine and noticed someone named Deslie. It was a name on a cover of a book advertised, so I'm not sure if it's male or female. I'd guess female. WDYT? Have you ever heard it before? Maybe it's a twist on Leslie.

I've never heard of it, but I'm not surprised that somebody has used it, what with there being Chelsey, Kesley, Wesley and Leslie floating around.

I don't care for it because it sounds to me very much like deathly.

I've never heard of anyone called Deslie but it seems more feminine to me too because like you said, it sounds like a twist on Leslie. I know Leslie's unisex but because I know more female Leslies than male, both Leslie and Deslie strike me more as feminine names.
