[Opinions] Beatrix
what do you think of the name Beatrix? I used to not like it, but lately it's been growing on me a whole lot. I'm not a fan of Beatrice, however. Opinions?

I prefer Beatrice, but Beatrix is nice too. Generate Your Own Glitter Graphics @ GlitterYourWay.com - Image hosted by ImageShack.us

I prefer Beatrice, because I think the ending is softer. The -trix ending sounds harsh, and makes me thinks of turning tricks or Trix cereal.

I think of Beatrix Potter, which is a great association!I prefer Beatrix to Beatrice too, as I think Beatrice sounds stuffy, and Beatrix has better nns.

I love Beatrice, but Beatrix has its perks. I think it's a nice name with a wonderful pedigree and it sounds more up-to-date than Beatrice.

My sister's name is Kirsten Beatrix so I adore it!
Beatrix is a very elegant, sweet, spunky name that really would work well as a first name in today's society. I recently have been loving Beatrice but the more I say it the more cumbersome it seems for a little girl. Beatrix on the other hand is light and more childish but would also work well for a teen or adult.
Bea, Trix, or Trixie would make nice nicknames that could be used at different stages of the girl's life if she found Beatrix a bit too long.
