What do you guys think of the name Padma? Not Padme like in the star wars movies, but Padma the actual Indian name. Also, how would you pro. it? pad-ma or pad-may? Thanks.

It is prn....Its pronounced PUDTH-mah"d" when translated from Sanskrit has a "th" sound to it, as the two sounds are the same letter.I personally don't like it.Lala

Never heard of Padma before (Pad-mah or Pod-mah) but I looked it up. It's Sanskrit for "lotus" and another name for the goddess Lakshmi. I actually knew a girl named Lakshmi, and I have to say that even though I don't love Padma, I definitely prefer it to Lakshmi. :)
