[Opinions] Shama
I met a girl by the name of Shama - pronounced with a short A. I don't care much for the name, but what do you think? It seems more masculine to me.

I don't care for Shama. It just doesn't sound attractive to me.

Never heard of that one. I don't care for it. I did have a student named Shamia (shuh-ME-uh), though. She was Latino and had a twin brother named Omar. I thought they were an interesting twinset.

It sounds less like a name and more like a sound effect to me.It's just--very reminiscent of a lot of different things. Shamu. Chamois (shammy) leather. Shazam. And none of them is a really good association.Array
