[Opinions] Periwinkle
WDYT of Periwinkle? I guess this kind of popped in my head because I got a periwinkle sweater for Christmas and remembered that I had heard that as a name somewhere and thought it was different. Actually I kind of like it for a middle name. [oh no! I may change my mind again on the middle name for my baby]Also... what are your thoughts on some of these names that kind of tie in with some xmas presents I have given or recieved?Bourke (Dooney and Bourke purse)
Vera (Vera Bradley pumpkin seat cover)
Bradley (")
Coach (yes I have heard of this as a name)
Webber (webkinz to my neice)
Jesus
Mary
Joseph
Noelle
Holly
Frosty
Rudolph
Chris
Santa

Vera is old.

Coach is just a NO WAY!
Webber is more of a surname.
Jesus would just be blasphemy
Mary is Ok as a mn.
Joseph is too popular at the moment.
Noelle is OK.
Holly is nice.
Frosty is a snowman! lol
Rudolph, can you imagine the teasing?
Chris is too popular.
Santa is a no no.

Periwinkle is not a good name for a kid IMOBourke- Nope
Vera- I like it, not love it
Bradley- Good boys name
Coach- Not at all
Webber- Eh... fifty fifty for me
Jesus- Under no circumstances should a parent name their child this, it's cruel; how could anyone live up to it!
Mary- Plain, but pretty when paired with the right mn or fn
Joseph- Good, strong boys name
Noelle- Very pretty
Holly- Plain, but pretty
Frosty- Oh heavens no!
Rudoplh- It's sooo old fashioned, but sounds okay. Prepare for eternal reindeer comments

I dislike consumer names. Search enough and you can probably find a few articles about it -- people naming their kids Espn (like the sports network) or Lexus (like the car). Stupid status symbols, as if their kids were also just another commodity. The other names are OK in themselves (with the exception of Frosty, which is just cheesy), but as Christmas baby names, it becomes, well, cheesy.I do not think Periwinkle would make a good name, middle or otherwise. I do not like word names generally, let alone cutesy color names.
