[Opinions] Cassiopeia
How do you personally pronounce it? There's a girl in one of my classes with the name (well, she actually spells it Kassiopeia but that's beside the point) and she pronounces it cah-see-OH-pee-uh, but I'd have said cah-see-oh-PEE-uh or cah-see-oh-PEY-uh.
Anyway, the reason I'm asking is that I'm considering it for the name of a girl in a story I'm planning. So, what you would imagine a Cassiopeia would look like? What kind of personality would she have?
Thanks in advance,
Catherine

Ca-see-o-PAY-uh is how I pronounce it. That's how my professor pronounced it in my Greek Mythology class as well. Whenever I see "-eia" I think -AY-uh. My favorite name, Thaleia, is pronounced like that ... and that is how I pronounce Leia.
I personally think Cassie go pee, uh! but thats just me :-)

Cah-see-oh-PEE-uh is how I say it too.
I would imagine she's be a bit conceited, because thet's how the queen in Greek Mythology was. She was beautiful but "full of herself". I don't remember if the story ever told what she loked like though. I'll say dark hair and browen eyes. with a medium tone skin.

The K spelling is the original Greek spelling
and I pro. it cah-see-OH-pee-uh. That's the correct (to my knowledge) pronuncation.
I'd say she's be very pretty, very feminine, with a quirky personality. A bit off beat.
