I don't like this name. At all. But ever since seeing a town by this name in South Carolina, I haven't been able to get it out of my head.
What do you think of it? Trailer trash or not?

I like Dixie--I think it's sweet, especially as a nickname for...Richenza or something. I don't like -ana names, so I don't like Dixiana.

I don't know about trailer trash, but I do know a girl (15) who gave birth to a dd, Dixianna Lee (Dixie) in June. The mom was 14 at the time. The name is so nms, however, the girl's mom is really nice. It's hard for me to say and I hate to label people anyway. I will say the name seems downwardly mobile and stereotypically Southern.

It is extremely trashy. Anything that sounds like you take two random syllables and stick them together is horrible. Dixiana, Celestiana, Crystalina, Lashondrianne, Shaelinmari, they're all bizarre. By the way, I have met people with each of those last four names, and I have no idea if I spelled them right. :P

Sorry, I don't plan 2 be posting much, as I pretty much slapped myself around enough last time I was on here (I am really sorry, by the way), but if you want, I'll use lilbabylaura.

Celestiana's not so bad
though personally I prefer Celestielle. :-)
Crystalina also seems workable, though nms. A bit elaborate, but some people like elaborations.
Lashondrianne sounds like a created African-American name, which is not necessarily a bad thing. You gotta hand it to some of the more creative black mothers, the names they create are downright poetic, if you listen to the syllables. I admire the fact that African-American culture seems as a whole to appreciate and reward true uniqueness in naming, not the twee faux-"unique" names some yuppies come up with.
The thing to remember is, everyone's different, everyone has a different idea of beauty, of style, and that's not a bad thing.

I won't go as far as to say trailer trash but I would certainly envision her parents loving Dixieland and making annual trips to Stone Mountain.

Agreed. Well, I wouldn't say "trailer trash", but the name sounds rather odd (and could potentially provoke teasing). It does have a pretty ring to it, but it sounds ditsy to me.

It sounds like Dixie Anne, which is perfectly fine with me and frankly adorable.
But remember, I also would happily name a B/B/B/G/G sibset Houston, Austin, Dallas, Abilene (nn Abby) and Daisetta (nn Daisy). Those are all cities/towns in Texas, for those who might not know.
But let me add, I would strongly disapprove of a Dixiana whose dad or BF had her name tattooed across the Southern Cross on his chest. Or, God forbid she should have it on her own chest! That's just wrong. *LOL*
Footnote: The Southern Cross I'm referring to was the Confederate battle flag and in some quarters an enduring symbol of racism.
