[Opinions] Truman?
I've been thinking about Truman lately. As a character name, I mean: In a historical fiction set in the Great Depression.
What do you all think of it, or what kind of person would a Truman be?

A flamboyant writer, I simple cannot get the image of Truman Capote out of my head.
It makes me think of that Jim Carrey movie.
Really though, it's just way too surnamey imo.

This makes me think of that one kid from this one stuipd show whose name is Truman. I don't like the name, but the name is a good name for some kid in the great depression.
I was a little disappointed to see someone actually want to use this name. Its not horrible, I mean, there is worse out there, but all I can think of is The Truman Show (a movie I hate).
Anyway, for a character though, its acceptable.

I think it's a good enough name, but how historical is your fiction? If it's set anywhere around when Capote lived, I'd rethink the name, as I think he would overshadow a character.
Oh, don't worry hunny it's the Great Depression. xD Sorry, I forgot to mention that.
