It's strong, manly, familiar but not highly used...yeah, I like it. And I think Deon would make a perfectly good nn for it.

I love Gideon. I knew a boy when I was younger named this, and he was not reall nerdy as someone said they pictured a Gideon to be. He was actually quite athletic, lovely name. I don't likeit with a nickname, I don't think it needs a nickname.

Gideon is one of my favorite boy names. But I don't like using any nicknames for it, just plain Gideon.

It sounds like a fashion designer's name.

It's ok but it's nothing I would use on my own child.

I LOVE Gideon - it's my second favorite boys' name. Although I can't think of any nns other than those.

When I think of Gideon I think of some nerdy, dorky looking guy into comics or Star Trek. I have no idea why though.
