[Opinions] Celestia (and some combos)
WDYTO Celestia? Does it strike you as workable for a first name, or is it fanciful enough that it would sound better as a middle name? WDYTO Tia or Chellie as an occasional nickname? Also, WDYTO these combos?Claudette Celestia
Ivy Celestia
Valerie Ingeborg
Valerie JeanWalter Christian
Walter James Henry
Edmond RileyArray

I love the name Celestia, but I must admit that I find it better suited for the MN spot. Laura Ingalls Wilder (who wrote the "Little House on the Prairie" series) had a sister named Caroline Celestia "Carrie". That's where I first heard of it...I think it's so pretty & feminine. One of my fave combos is Laine Celestia.Claudette Celestia - Claudette is dnmsaa...seems so harsh imo, and the combo is just okay for me.
Ivy Celestia - I don't like Ivy at all...does seem like a name to me and sounds harsh imo. The combo is nice, though.
Valerie Ingeborg - neither name is my style
Valerie Jean - I don't like Valerie, and Jean isn't my style either. The combo flows nicely.Walter Christian - I prefer Walter as a MN, since it seems dated to me (it's a GP). Christian is nice, and I definitely prefer it as a MN. The combo is fairly nice.
Walter James Henry - James & Henry are great names, and the combo is very handsome.
Edmond Riley - Edmond is so dated to me, and Edward is so much nicer imo. Riley is all girl for me, though I know I'm in the minority there. The combo doesn't flow too well imo.

About nicknames..Chellie sounds a lot like jelly, and Tia doesn't match the dominant vowel sounds in Celestia. I recommend Tess.In other news, Ivy Celestia is a winner, and Walter Christian is appealing too.

I severely dislike the nickname Tess, but thank you for the suggestion.Array

I really like Celestia. I'd never thought of it before. It's a good alternate to Celeste, which I like in theory, but the sound just doesn't really appeal to me. I could see it as a fn, but it works fine as a mn too. As for nns, I don't like Tia and Chellie doesn't sound very flattering imo.

Celestia makes me smile.Would her middle name be Maxwell? I like Celestia quite a bit. It would probably be better in the middle name slot - Evening Celestia is quite poetic. I don't care for either nicknames.Edmond Riley - Edmond is too lordly for me, Riley is a dog's name to me. For you, though, it could work."Walter Christian - too proper for me, but nice enough
Walter James Henry - I dislike double middle names. Walter Henry is quite cool, though.Claudette Celestia - Very different names, doesn't flow to me
Ivy Celestia - Love this! Beautiful, and I may steal it. :-D
Valerie Ingeborg - Okay, a bit dissoant to my ears
Valerie Jean - Simple and lovely

I thought it'd be better not to mention my prior history with the name. ;-) I'd be happy to share Ivy Celestia with you...and I really like Evening Celestia. Thank you!Array

It makes me think of Celestial Seasonings tea, or a kind of name a psychic would adopt to help her get clients. :-/ I prefer Celeste, but if you like Celestia, I think it sounds best as a mn. Ivy Celestia isn't bad at all.

I would only use Celestia as a middle name. Tia is a good nickname but I don't likw Chellie.Claudette Celestia - I don't like Claudette

Valerie Ingeborg - Don't like
Valerie Jean - It's OKWalter Christian - Don't like Walter
Walter James Henry - Walter Henry James sounds better
