Help[Opinions] name for British Blue kitten
soon I'm gone be mum of a sweet BB kitten girl and I'm strugeling with a name...

Matilda nn Mattie or Tilly would be very cute. I remember reading a children's book with a character named Mattie who happened to be a female cat. Gabriela (Gabi) and Pola are also cute. How about Sophie? I have a cat named Sophie and the name fits her well. Annie and Bonnie would also be cute for a cat.

I think Bailey, Charlie, and Matilda work for a cat; Bailey being my fave of the three. I'd also recommend Sadie, Tessa, Millie, Daisy, Bess.

I love the actress,and if she's a very dramatic cat...then definatly use it. :-D
Honestly,I can't suggest anything. I tend to match the animal's personality to the name. From what I know, British Blues tend tobe quite diginifed. I'd use a name that reflected that - and I second Array's suggestion of Lady Day.
However, this is from someone who has a dog named Boston, had cats named Panzer and Margaret Magellan (nn Maggie, but answers to Maggie, Mag, Margaret, Magellan and knows she's in trouble if she hears Margaret Magelllan together), and Pandora. We have a city, a WWII tank, an explorer, and mythology. :-D

I think Pola would be perfect, personally. Sounds very cattish to me.
If ever I own cats, I'll be naming them things like Haitian Fight Song and Blues Falling Down Like Hail (Haitian and Bluesy for short, natch), so I don't know if I'd be any help to you. ;) But some shorter name ideas:
Mingus
Jelly Roll
Satchmo
Charlie Bird
Thelonious
Valaida
Lady Day
Ellington
Ella
Billie
Tatum
Leadbelly (especially appropriate for the heavier kitty, haha)
Peggy
Dizzy
Lovie
Bix (Bixie?)

Holiday

Hawkins
Lux (Luxie?)

Just a couple ideas off the top of my head. Jazz musicians have names that translate well into cat names, IMO. :D And since she's a cat, I don't see a problem with calling her something like Thelonious...but I'm also the sort of person who decides her fishes' genders arbitrarily, lol.

You could just call her Blue, or Blu.
Or Sasha? That's a popular name for cats here in the US, in fact we used to have a cat named Sasha. She wasn't a British Blue though. :)
Sky? Blue Jean? Crystal?

Sarah - yeaahhh it would deffinetly suit her but my hussband is not a keen on it :-/

Blue - I use to have Russion Blue called BlueSKI (a combination of a colour/bereed and the end of my maiden name KaminSKI) really suit my boy...

Do you mean a blue British Shorthair? If so I'm envious, they are my favourite breed, if I ever get a pure bred cat it'll be one of those.
I always name my cats something with an 's' in the name, because they listen to 's' sounds (or so I was told as a child so originally this was the reason, now it's "tradition"), so I'm horrible when people ask me about cat names, they often don't match my criteria.
I like Bailey though (but it's male to me), and Matilda. How about Clementine?

British Blue stands for British Shorthair in a colour Blue :-)
but many years ago it was it's original colour and the name of the breed so I refered to the old type...
I was always a fun of Russian Blues but lately changed my mind to British :-) I have read so many great things about they temperaments that ahhh I'm in love :-)

Heh, my boyfriend saw British Blues on a lifestyle show and keeps going on about them (because they're supposed to be really placid, and my kitten is a maniac!).
I don't really like any of your choices - Bailey, Charlie and Jazza are all too trendy and bouncy, Matilda and Gabriela don't sound like cats, and Pola doesn't appeal.

I know a cat named Matilda & she carries the name so well. We adore it on her & call her Tillie for short which happens to be number 11 on your list. I don't agree that a British Blue should necessarily have a British name. One wouldn't necessarily give a Siamese cat a Thai name because of its Thai origins.

I was stating my opinions and feelings, not laying down facts. If you like & recognise Matilda for a cat, good for you. That doesn't mean I have to like it! And I still don't, despite your opinion differing from mine.

Yes, but I wasn't talking about Siamese cats or even cats in general. I was talking about British Blue cats, and in their specific case, I feel that they belong best with a very British name. You don't have to agree, it's an opinion.
