I love it but I'm a huge "Winnie the Pooh" fan so I think it would be quite cheesy if I used it for a child. :b It could be an option for a pet for me in the future, though. :)
BTW, I like Winnie only as a nn for Winifred.
ETA: The character Winnie on the 80s/90s show "The Wonder Years" was Gwendolyn, I believe. Winnie also makes a nice nn for Gwendolyn, but I think I prefer Gwen, and I'd keep Winnie for Winifred. It is another option, though.
