i love it!I've been liking the names Lillian and Lily alot lately. I've decided that if I were to live in the 1920's, this would be my name of choice lol

Lillian is great. Its grown quite a bit on me, and its much more formal then Lily. I'm reading a series right now where the main character is named Lillian nn Lily. Lillian and Julia sound great!Siri

I love it (and Liliana), but the nn Lily sounds a bit cutesy to me. Unfortunately, it seems like one of those nns that people might automatically use without thinking about it, so I prefer Lillian as a mn. I can really picture Peter and Lillian as siblings; Julia and Lillian not so much.

Hi, Oceane ~
For years, I did not like Lillian; it sounded like an "old lady" name to me. I felt the same about Lucinda, but now I think both names are lovely.Lily is ok as a nn, I guess, but then again, I'm not really a nickname person...

I like Lillian (this spelling).
Lillian and Julia sound sort of similar for some reason. Lillian and Peter sound really nice together.
I do like the nn Lily but I think Lian is more original.

I like Lilian, Liliana, Lilia, and Lily.I don't care for the spelling Lillian because of all the Ls. Two are unnecessary in this name, and since the name starts with L, it's borderline absurd. It reminds me of 'Lilliputian' - not just a little bit. It just looks kind of frumpy and silly to me, in a way that Lilian doesn't.Lilian & Peter - Great.
Lilian & Julia - Good, I think esp. if Lilian is called Lily, and Julia is not called Julie. - chazda

I like Lillian and Lily. I like Lily better but Lillian is more whole for a FN and can use the NN Lily. Lillian just has alot of "L"'s, I think that's one thing that draws me away from it. But I still prefer it spelled Lillian vs. Lilian. Lillian and Julia sound cute as sibs. Peter is nms.

My father's mother, who has passed away, was named Lillian. My mom always tells me that I should name a daughter Lillian one day 1) to honor my grandmother, and 2) because it's such a pretty name.I do actually like it, but wouldn't use it myself. I think it sounds pretty. I like it spelled Lillian. The nn Lily is great.

I prefer Lily as a name by itself, or Lilia as a mn. Lily and Julia sound great as siblings!

I far prefer the spelling Lilian. It just looks softer to me. But Liliana is my favourite form.
