I'd take Genny over Ginny because of the Gen- beginning of Genevieve. Gen, Vivi, Veva, and maybe Gena are the only other nicknames that come to mind, Veva being my favorite.

I just read Julia's suggestion of Vieve (VEEV) and I think that has a cool sound to it, too.
