[Opinions] WDYT of Cailin?
For a girl? I think it's very pretty but I know, a bit "trendy". I also love Caitlin but of course that one has been done to death. I know this is so close but I still like it. Thoughts?

Kaylyn - any form of it - has been pretty done to death as well, surely. Not only will she blend in with the other Kaylyn's, but the other Kayla's, Kaylee's and Kaitlin's as well! That's a lot of kids to get mixed up with. Cailin does also look like a typo of Caitlin to me. For a similar sound but more substance, how about ...Catrin
Caterina
Carlyn
Christian
Celyn

I prefer Kaelyn or Kaitlyn :)

I find it sillyIt's the Irish word for 'girl'. Would you name a kid Girl? Also, it's not said KAY-lynn, but more like Colleen. I find the former to be incredibly tryndeigh and cutesy, and the latter to be really ugly.Sorry.

I like it well enough. However, often times I prefer a "K" with "C" names.

I've never met anyone with this name, so I don't consider it "trendy." Assuming you're pronouncing it cahl-een and not kay-lyn, I quite like it. I tend to prefer the use of relevant accents though, so I spell it Cailín.

WAY too trendy. Yes, I see it's CAILIN, lol, hardly anyone else seemed to.If it was Caitlin, I prefer the spelling Katelyn.

Nice. Historically, it really makes more sense than Caitlin in a way...

Even though it is popular, I prefer it over Caitlyn. I think it's cute.

I love kaitlyn. I love the spelling Katelyn or Kaitlyn best. Caitlin is nice too.

This is exactly what I mean. See, she thought it was Caitlin.

I see. I'm confused?

Prefer Katelyn/Caitlin. [m]It's missing something without the 'T' sound and looks as if it could easily get confused with Caitlin. In fact, when I first saw this thread I thought you had put WDYT of Caitlin? It's a name that might get mixed up a lot. Other wise it sounds kind of cute. I would spell it Kaylin.

Did the same thing...But I prefer Caitlin.

I agree. Cailin just looks like you were trying to write Caitlin, but forgot the T.

I prefer Colleen or Cathleen.
