I heard this name today... its a woman's name. I wonder if its just a weird version of Stephanie? Or the parents really wanted a boy! What do you think of this name?

I saw the name Stevann which I was wondering whether it was pronounced like Steven (a creative spelling maybe) or Steve Ann. I found out it is a girl so we are guessing it is pronounced like Steve Ann.

sounds like you're trying to say "Stephanie" while holding your nose, or something lol

I don't like it at all either... and yet I believe it's better than some other names I've seen. It does have that connection to the legit (and very old) Stephanie, only formed from the popular '50s spelling of Stephen, Steven, rather than Stephen itself.

Stevenie does look more masculine than Stephanie though.

Until you made the Stephanie comparison I was thinking "steven-y" as in an adjective describing something related to Steven.

I think they were going for a feminine Steven...or they were trying to make Stephanie more masculine..either way it's bad.
