I really like Domenica and I like Dominique for either sex, but I've known more girls than boys with this name so I slightly prefer it on a girl.

I love the name Domenica! It's gorgeous. I especially like it with the nickname Dinnie, after a character in Sharon Creech's Bloomability. She's a really spunky, lovable character, and it made me love the name! Not that it wasn't already gorgeous...

As for Dominique, I can only see it on one really jerky, bratty girl that I know. It totally ruins the name. But, I don't think I like the sound of it, on either gender. I do like Monique... So maybe it's just the association that's getting me!

I love Domenica. My only fear is that people here in the US would pronounce it "dom-in-EE-ca" instead of "da-MEN-i-ca." But it is a gorgeous name.

Dominique is lovely too. I'm used to it as a girl's name only, with Dominic for a boy.

Dominique is okay, but Domenica is "made-up" looking (and yes, I know it isnt)
