it's not my style, but it's unique and I like that. I do like the sound of it.
my urge is to pair it with Bartholomew for some reason, either as a sibset or a combo.
Ptolemy & Bartholomew: very scholarly-sounding brothers.
Bartholomew Ptolemy works better for than Ptolemy Bartholomew as I trip over the latter combo's L's.

Hehehe.
I really fell in love with Ptolemy after the character in Jonathan Stroud's Bartimaeus trilogy--so Ptolemy and Bartholomew definitely sounds reminiscent of Ptolemy and Bartimaeus to me. In a very good way--they had an amazing relationship--but definitely reminds me of them. :)
