I've always preferred Beatrix to Beatrice because it has a certain kicky attitude that the somewhat dowdy Beatrice couldn't dream of pulling off.
I fell in love with the nn Bea when I saw the movie Hideous Kinky. Kate Winslet's character has the cutest little daughter by the name. It really made me see what a simple, pretty name it was.
