[Opinions] Carol
Wdyt of Carol for a girl? I've always been a huge fan of Caroline, but it's definitely raising on the popularity charts. Carol is sweet, simple, and doesn't need a nn - which is what I like in a name.Carol Julia maybe? Any other mn suggestions would be great. Thanks :)

Love it, although I prefer the Carole spelling, after Ms. Lombard.Carol Julia is terrific. Both names have a warm, soothing feeling for me. Josephine Carole was a favorite combination of mine for a while. Others you might like:Carol Evelyn

I really like Carol. My mother's name is Caryl (pronounced the same way), and my sister is Caroline, so I have a soft spot for both of these names. To many people Carol comes off as very much a baby boomer name since it became so popular in the 50's, but I think it would be sweet to see it on a little girl now. I would definitely consider using Caryl (spelled this way to honor mum!) or Caroline for a girl.

Aw.I have a soft spot for Carol. It used to be a favorite of mine, and now it's an on-again, off-again favorite. I slightly prefer Carole for not particular reason, but Carol is still great--sweet and simple, like you said. It's one of those names that's dated by the number of 50-odd year old women with it but seems to be resurfacing without any problems. Oddly, every Carol I know my age is named some form of Carol Anne. How strange is that? My aunt is Carol Elizabeth; I think that's quite pretty.

Love it, but I prefer Carole, for Carole King. Carole Julia (sorry, I automatically spell it like that) I also love Caro, but that might be a bit too insubstantial.Carole India

I go back and forth. For one minute I find it really dated and boring, but the next I find it beautiful and underused. Right now I'm in the latter category.Carol Julia is really nice!

I like it!It's very pretty, and hasn't been used much in the last forty or more years. It was very popular before that, but it fell off when all the Carols started having kids. :)Carol AnneCarol AndreaCarol AshleyCarol AmberCarol BridgetCarol DawnCarol FayeCarol FaithCarol GraceCarol IreneCarol JuneCarol JasmineCarol JennaCarol JeanCarol LouiseCarol LaurenCarol Marie (have a friend named this, she goes by both names together)Carol MarleneCarol NadineCarol Noelle (for a Xmastime baby of course)Carol PaigeCarol RoseCarol RebeccaCarol SusanCarol SuzanneCarol Star?Carol SimoneCarol TheresaCarol ValerieCarol VanessaCarol Victoria

Carol is a very 50s/60s name IMHO. It's okay, I don't love it or hate it.
Carol Julia is nice, but for some reason Carol Yuliana popped into my head!
