[Opinions] Judith
This name has been on my list for ages - it was the name of my father's older sister. (I never met her, she died well before I was born) However, she was quite a woman - of the few women of the 1950s to not only graduate college but go on to medical school. Not only that, she managed to graduate at the top of her class and won several awards.
However, lately I've started to love the name for its simplicity and beauty. It has such a rich history, and screams strength to me. The only other female name that has the same feel to me is Miriam. (Katharine and Margaret do as well, but only to a point.)
What do you guys think? I would most likely not use the nickname Judy. While it's very sweet, it gives off a feeling of 1950s nostalagia.
Other names I like can be found in my profile, though I'm thinking of Judith Veronica currently.

I think Judith is a lovely name, even better for you with the family connection. I see it as a strong and confident name. I like Judy as a nickname too actually, probably since I know a great one...but I think Jude would be a perfect nickname for a little Judith these days. Judith and Miriam would be a sweet sibset.
I adore Judith it's lovely.
