I would see it on a boy, but honestly I don't think it works at all for a given name. Besides, will people say it like KAY-ro (like Egypt) or like KE-ro (like Illinois)?

KIE-ro is like Egypt, and KAY-ro is like Illinois (or so I head) i've never heard them pronounced the way you said. Interesting.

I love Cairo!
For a boy. I would think about usine it. Cairo is the capital of Egyt which is very cool.

I think it has the coolest sound. Haven't ever been there though, so I'm not sure that I would use it.
