Pronounciation like John.
It's a Raeto-Romanic name (one of Switzerland's four official languages, despite the fact that it is spoken by only one percent of the population), so it's not made up or anything. :)
What do you think of it? Please be honest.

I like it. I too at first thought it was Italian, because I know someone very Italian named Giancarlo, but I'll take your word for it. ;)

Oh, don't worry about that. It's a language that is only spoken by about 70'000 people today and it is very similar to Italian, actually. :)
