[Opinions] Caddi
All right...I have been obsessive with names lately, always thinking about them. Although I always have been, it's been a much stronger addiction in the past few days. So I was thinking about if Jared and I have any more kids...what we could name them. And for a girl I really like the nickname Caddi. What could be some full names??Here are some that I love to death:Cadalina (Cad-uh-LEEN-uh)
Caddalynn (Cad-UH-lin)
Cadrin (CAH-trin)like Katrin
Cadrina (Cuh-TREEN-uh)
Cadarina (CAD-uh-reen-uh)
Cadence
What do you think of these? How do you like the nickname in general? How do you like it with our other childrens names?Any other suggestion?Macke

It makes me think of that old-fashioned label "cad" (along the lines of "scoundrel", "bounder" ...) - actually I think of that before I think of a golf caddy, but I think of that too :-/I think it works best as a nickname for Catrin, though, and will probably grow on me.

Well, if you like Cadence you could always use Cadenza instead, since it nicknames more naturally to Caddi... and I like it a bit better.Cadi is listed in the database as a short form of Catrin.. so perhaps you would not need to respell any Cat- names? I'm not crazy about the switching T for D. Of the ones you have listed I guess I like Cadarina best.I don't particularly like the nickname, but I think it's alright. It is a bit similar to the word 'caddy' and that'd be unflattering, but I'm not at all sure people would be strongly reminded of that on meeting a girl or woman called Caddi. I'd spell it Caddie; the -i ending is not to my taste in this case. I guess it goes pretty well with your other kids' names. - chazda[edited to add links]
