i could guess that your name may orginate from Sanskrit "sudh" (i could be wrong), which means "to purify or to become pure". although, Sudipta (which would be a female version of your name) means "shining bright". my best would be to ask a pandit or someone with extensive knowledge in Sanskrit. hope that helps!
