[Facts] Realina
My 9th great grand aunt's name was Realina. She was born around 1650 in Prague, Czechoslovakia, and was the youngest daughter of Yehudah Loew (the creator of the Golem :D ). She was Jewish.
I really wonder about the meaning of her name. It can't be a pet form of Lea or Rahel since two of her sisters were called like this.
I've thought about a pet form of Rilla or a feminine form of Reuel, but yeah... Any idea?

Miss Claire, is it possible that instead of being Real(ina) as in Reality, that it could be Real as in Real Madrid - in other words, Royal? Perhaps Auntie's name might translate as Queenie? I've got no idea at all how much Spanish was being spoken in Prague in her day, but her father was certainly a man with a wonderful, well informed mind! And the lion L"owe) is the King of the animal kingdom ...

Wow, I hadn't thought about that! That's indeed possible, since the Lowe family lived in Spain a good 500 years before emigrating to Prague!
Thank you for pointing that!

It is somewhat similar to Raelene, although I'm not sure if they are connected in any way.

Mmmm... I'm pretty sure Raelene is modern and English. But it's true that they look close.
