[Facts] On a more serious (but equally bizarre) note...
"Vache" the French word for cow, was developed from the Old French "vacca" which in turn was derived from the Latin "Bovis" (of an ox, bull, cow" and the Greek "Bous" (cow).
Now for the bizarre part:
The word "vaccine" is also related to "vacca". Early mad professors injected bovine bodily fluids into children so as to shield them from "vaccinia" (cow-pox). So if everyone ever calls you a cow, tell them that you were named after a technique that saves the lives of millions of children. And thats no bullshit.
