But in North America, they're pronounced very differently: Rowan's RO-an, while Rohan's RO-hawn.Robin, Rolan / Roland, Roman, Ronen, Rónán (Ronan), Roshan, Rowland, and Roydon could be alternatives.Miranda

I've heard of Rohan as an alternate legitimate spelling of Rowan (pronounced the same), in several books, but I would be tempted to pronounce it RO-han, in light of the LOTR series.
