So True. But in this forum, I think the writer really believed that Mia means Peace. She wrote that it was a beautiful meaning. She must have learned this somewhere...

Hi Starshine Breeze,

What about asking the author of that post about her source?

In Germany, Mia is a pet form for Maria and it has been used as a short form of Euphemia as well. I have never seen any connection to a name meaning peace in any German book about names - not even in bad ones ;)
