I love it. I don't tend to make that association, though it is obvious. I just never think about it when I hear the name.

Hello people! :)
My name is Marina and it's very nice to see that many of you like my name!;-)
I come from Russia and the name "Marina" is not very often here.
When I was little I didn't like my name that much and thought it sounded a bit hard, but its meaning "The one who came from the sea" has always fascinated my imagination!
Now I'm 22 and I'm very happy with my name!
I have always dreamt of the Sea ans I have always had a beautiful feeling that the Sea will bring me something very important, my happiness and my love.
And that dream came true: my only love, my dear husband Florian comes from a little island named Borkum in the North Sea!
And it was the Baltic Sea where we saw each other for the first time!
He is in love with my name and says it sounds so beautiiful, feminine, noble and romantic, that's why it suits me so wonderful!
Warm greetings from Moscow
